Greetings!    
   Where did the summer go?  It seemed to fly by, as it was just yesterday we were celebrating Memorial Day!  We are in our quiet time at Yoga on the Beach, and ready to burst forth new classes in Key West, as we say our thank you to Cape Cod. 

Don and my fall plans include some time away exploring New England, seeing friends and heading back to Key West a bit earlier this year.  I'm seeing some sailing in my near future, as well.

We are delighted to share our yoga path with each of you!  Truly it is our pleasure.

WHAT'S HAPPENING -

   

CAPE COD:

Thank you for a wonderful summer season.  Your smiles and laughter continues to dance in our hearts!   

 

FALL SCHEDULE runs Sept. 7th - Oct 2.  Saturday and Sunday 8 am and Wednesday 6 pm. 

 

 

Your Meditation - Teleconference class.  Did you miss the workshop on Cape Cod?  Here is your chance to get a meditation practice going at home.  4 Monday evenings, 1 hour - discover YOUR path to meditation.    Begins Sept 26th at 7:00 PM in your home. 

 

Don't forget our Global Mala class, Sept 25th.  We are raising money this year for Cape Abilities, helping those with disabilities on Cape Cod.   Can't make the class?  We are happily accepting your donations.  You can drop them off at class or mail them to us or Cape Abilities directly.  Please let us know as we are tallying the totals and looking to raise over $1000!  Thanks for your help. 

 

KEY WEST:  

Yoga classes continue at Southernmost.    Classes at Ft Zachary begin on  Oct 15.   

 

WELLNESS RETREATS:  Our first retreat was well received and a joy to be a part of.  If you are looking for a get away, with opportunity to discover Key West and learn about aromatheraphy, healthy eating and yoga, our next retreat is coming up in November 10-13 over Veteran's Day weekend.  Grab a few friends, or bring your honey.

Exercising Response-Ability

Sitting there, take a breath and feel what is going on inside you right now. Can you feel your breath moving your physical body? Are there any thoughts flying around in your mind? Can you feel the response or reaction in your body? Excitement, irritation, tension, joy, a desire to strike out, run or hold your breath? What is the mind/body communicating you right now?

 

Each moment there are thousands of neurological activations happening in your body. Each thought generates an electrical spark, which has a chemical reaction and all of this is triggered by your personal Samskara (habit.) When we practice yoga, we become fine-tuned to all that is going on, and awakened to the response/reactions. Choice is born from that awareness, we become Response-Able.
