Greetings!
Have you seen the birds migrating? I have, this morning in class I heard red-winged black birds singing to us from the tree tops, and saw swifts and swallows flowing over head. Yes it is that time of year when some of us start to move from the southern climes northward.
Don and I will be heading north mid May, as we finish up our season here and prepare to kick off a new season on Cape Cod. It is a time of planning, completing, preparing and starting a new for us. Check out Upcoming Events to see what is new this season.
We want to thank all of you who support us each season in Key West, it has been a fantastic season at our new location at Ft Zachary Taylor State Park. Yoga on the Beach ran 4 retreats this winter and we look forward to doing more this year. The yoga teacher training program's inaugural session was a wonderful success and I look forward to teaching it again in the fall. The last yoga class will be on May 10th for this season. We look forward to seeing you all in November.
For our Cape Cod students, get ready, we are on our way. Classes will begin Memorial Day weekend. We will be teaching Sat, Sun and Mon morning at 8:00 AM that weekend. Check out the schedule of classes on our website.

On the Way to Cuba
by Nancy J Curran |
|
I am sitting in the business center of our Miami hotel, as we are awaiting our departure time for Cuba. I am in deep appreciation for this amazing opportunity to be traveling to Cuba at this time of transition for Cuba and her citizens.
I am not even there yet but I am aware that this trip will change me. The sense of anticipation is heightened, as is the sense of unknowing. To be going as Cuba is opening its policies, giving freedom and choices to her citizens, after 50 years of ruling under Fidel, is somehow very important to me.
I reflect on freedom. I ponder transition. I celebrate the ever changing nature of life.
I offer you this moment to reflect on your personal sense of freedom. Are you aware of the magnitude of possibilities that are available to you? Do you impose your own limitations as a form of governing fear of the unknown? Do you celebrate the changing nature of life?
Today I celebrate freedom. I choose to live it, as fully as I can.
How about you? |
