Public Works Offering Free Mulch to Roselle Residents

Mulch

Mulch is a tree's best friend. It insulates the soil, retains moisture, helps keep weeds down, prevents compaction, protects tree bark from lawnmowers and even adds an aesthetic touch to the yard.

The Public Works Department will provide a limited amount of free mulch to Roselle residents this spring and summer. Branches cut as a part of the Village's parkway tree trimming program will be chipped and used for the free mulch program.

Free delivery can be arranged by calling the Public Works Department's mulch hotline at (630) 671-2389. Please use the voicemail system to leave your name, your address, your daytime phone, number of truckloads requested and the location of your driveway to dump the mulch. One truck load
is approximately two to three cubic yards. Deliveries will be made on a first call, first served basis, based upon availability.
