You could make me Surreal Happy...
Hi, I'm Dali, a female, 5-year-old, German Shepherd Mix...I love to play and I'm a great protector. Who could ask for a better friend? I am one of the calmest and best leash walkers around and I enjoy hanging out with nice people. I would love it if you would come to the shelter and meet me... Maybe you will be a part of my next great adventure in life? For more information on adopting Dali or any other great animal at the FKSPCA, please call us at 305-294-4857, or visit us at our location at 5230 College Road on Stock Island. | |

Look deep into my eyes...very deep...
| This gentle giant leaves quite the impression on the hearts of everyone he meets. At times Ricky can be a quiet, reserved spirit, but that does not last very long since his favorite thing to do is to roll around on carpets so that he may get belly rubs. Ricky also enjoys crawling up on laps and napping for hours on end. He very much enjoys the company of other cats and wouldn't mind going home with one. While Ricky is not one to get in the middle of a lot of hub bub, he will watch action from afar and join in on the fun when things have settle a bit. If you have room in your heart for this gentle giant come meet him! He will impress anyone that comes his way.

Hey folks!!
Well, we're knee deep into Spring/Summer all over and with that comes that crazy creative spark of sorts that's in the air this time of year that just ignites humans into trying new things. Here's hoping your ignition switch is on and yes, it is time for Fresh Caught Friday!
I'm gonna start off with the Keys where I have very happy news to report--no, it's not free beer--it's the news that some animals that were on the "endangered species" list are on the road to recovery! Yay! So, here are the winners of the "Thank you for Saving Me" prize: The American crocodiles; Manatees: Green Sea Turtles: the Key Deer and the Wood Storks! I'm so happy for them and many more are on the recovery list. Check out Endangered species success stories. Way to go everyone! Oh, check out the video below about "turtle rodeoing". It's not funny, but it does show you how they catch the turtles in the Keys to tag them.

And, one more thing about the Keys this past week: it was the 2012 third annual Vandenberg Underwater Grand Prix staged off the Florida Keys Sunday. Divers raced around the 523-foot-long Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg wreck with these little diver propulsion vehicles. Check out the video to see how it went! | | 2012 Vandenberg Underwater Grand Prix Dive Scooter Race |
And, now, in Portland, this weekend it's time for the Multnomah County Fair Pig Races! I'm gonna just say this once: These are a RioT! I'm thinkin' since pigs don't fly, maybe they swim...and...YES! The birth of a new race for mankind--The first Annual USS Vandenberg Underwater Pig Races! Now we're talkin' fun! Check out the video below of the pigs on land, and see for yourself! I'm just sayin'... en .

| Well, until next week, since we're all in a race with Father Time, maybe we should get a little more creative about our own events!...The cats are looking at me and mumbling in cat-ese, "Don't even think about it mommy!" xomo, Ted and the very quick-footed kitties who would look so cute in those little race bibs...hmm...

Latitudes and Longitudes...
paintings in glass
"ISLANDS"...from the Latitudes & Longitudes series 4" x 4" and 1.5" deep hangs on wall $60
Here's another new offering from my series "Latitudes & Longitudes"...This one reminds me of being in a plane and looking out the window to the watery world of islands all alone in the sea. The "grid" system of squares reminds me of folded map lines. This piece is 4" x 4" and 1.5" deep. It hangs on the wall. It's a small piece that brings your center of attention to that spot and holds it. You just want to look at it and figure out all the little details of the different colors mixing and creating new colors and little bubbles and wispy lines of glass that have formed that trail off the edge of the piece. $60

"Dreamy Drop"...

Here's a new piece that is a joy to wear. It's full of pink/lavender/purple/orangie-red. I've wrapped it in silver wire and have some pretty Swarovski crystals dangling above it. I paired it with a flexible black thin neck wire, but it can be exchanged for an 18" silver snake chain, if you like. It's full of shimmer and shine. It measures about 2" from top to bottom. Great length with most any outfit.$60
free shipping and handling in the continental USA. what a deal...
