ZIMBA
Zimba was a "frequent flyer" here on Fresh Caught. Pictures of his antics were hard to resist sharing! He was a dear friend for 14 years to Deb and will be dearly missed. My prayers to Deb and Zimba.

Hey Folks!
Well, what a gorgeous week we've had here in Portland. I know, I know, just wait...the rain will return...but folks around here have been absolutely giddy about all this sun. I hope wherever you are it's been a great week, and, yes, once again, it is indeed Fresh Caught Friday!
Here in Portland this last Sunday, on Mother's Day, it was the annual Oregon Humane Society Doggie Dash! Yippee! People and doggies run/walk/hang out and get to know each other. There were over 3,000 doggies registered for this year's event. And, let me tell you--it seemed like more! Pooches everywhere in downtown Portland! So, check out the videos that follow: The first one is the Human Society's little advertisement. The second shows what goes on behind the scenes on a warm sunny day with tons of doggies hanging around. Fun stuff.

And, moving on to Key West or Keys news, yes, this week marks the 10th Anniversary of the sinking of the USS Spiegel Grove ship near Key Largo. One of the largest ships to be sunk for an artificial reef at that time! Pretty amazing stuff. Check out the videos! Really amazing what only 10 years can produce!

"Private Island" necklace with blue and white pearls...
Well, inspired by the "latitudes & longitudes" series, I thought it would be fun to make a special necklace series too. Each one is one-of-a-kind and this first set reminds me of tropical islands. This piece has four pearls dangling from it also. The glass cabochon is 1" long and 1/2" wide. The total length, including the pearls is 2".
