Winona...A Key West Kitty...
Winona
Little Miss Winona is a one year old female domestic shorthair. She was left at the Florida Keys SPCA overnight pen last August with her three kittens.  Poor little Winona.  All of her kittens have been adopted.  She is wondering if it is now her turn to be adopted.  She is very quiet and unassuming and waits for you to approach her.  Check out her pretty tortoiseshell coloring.  Okay folks, this girl needs a good home.  She kind of reminds me of my little Kiki girl, who was left on her own with 3 kittens in the Honolulu Botanical Garden.  I'm glad I had all those many years with my Kiki.  For more information on adopting Winona or any other great animal at the FKSPCA, please call us at 305-294-4857, or visit us at our location at 5230 College Road on Stock Island.

Arthur --A little Oregon Mouse!

Arthur   Arthur is a great little mouse looking for a nice home to call his own. He hasn't spent much time with people yet so he will need time to become used to being in your hands. A wheel to run in and a cubby to hide in will make a great habitat for him. Arthur will make a great little friend for you or someone who has been looking to have a little buddy around their home.

pssst...if you have a cute pet picture you'd like to share with me, just send a .jpg photo to my e-mail.  Please include the name of the pet.  Thanks!

 Fritz--a success story!

Fritz
This is the latest picture of Fritz the cat, adopted into a loving new forever home in Key West.  We're so happy for Fritz.  Looks like he's pretty happy--and styling--too!

Here's something fun, click here if you would like to know your name if you were animal!   Ted's name is Voldemort The not-So-Shabby Rabbit; mine was Flopsy the laughing foxy.   Hmm...

Hi Everyone!

Well, dreams do come true Virginia!  Yes, it's National Chocolate Cake Day.  I'm definitely gonna find me a piece of that goodness and chomp in delight.  And, oh, Mama Mia, click here to get in that party mood this lovely Fresh Caught Friday!

And, speaking ever so quietly of ABBA, they're performing, tonight, with the Oregon Symphony Orchestra, here in Portland.  Can you believe it!  Now, they're not my favorite band by a long shot, but I gotta give 'em credit for staying power.  So, if I was gonna go to this, and I'm not, but if I was, click here to see how I would start the evening off:  "Click"!

And, speaking of sweet, here in Portland, love is in the air.  And here is an interesting recipe for this delightful concoction:  Mix together an overworked CPA, who shows up to a club that is auctioning off local firefighters for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's annual fundraiser for a one-time date, add that magical spice called love and voila' and engagement results!  Yes, Robin Jacobs, exhausted and late from work, showed up to the fundraiser, not expecting to actually bid on anyone, but saw Morgan Long from Station 13 on the stage and couldn't resist.  "He was so cute!" She didn't even have a paddle because she arrived late, so she grabbed a paddle from another table and started to bid.  He cost her $340.  All worth it, especially seeings how it is also a write-off since it is a charity event.  My business head says, "Excellent job, Robin!"  Love as a write-off.  Hmm... Anyway, they met, sparks flew, and now they're engaged.  Ahh...I love a happy ending.

And, speaking of a positive outcome--in Key West, there is a new sign around town--"THIS IS A GOOD SIGN".   Eric Dennis, a Michigan native who lives in St. Augustine founded the sign in early 2010,  has said the meaning of the sign is as deep as beholders wish it to be, for as long as they wish it to be seen.   He says "whether it's a physical object, achievement, event, religious or spiritual entity, good signs are not biased.  The idea is to place a sticker on anything that invokes those warm and fuzzy feelings and share it with the world.  One good sign may inspire another."  I like the concept of this idea, but maybe one person's good sign is another person's eye-sore --a bad thing.  This is a tricky movement.  Inspiration is in the eye of the beholder, but do I want bumper stickers everywhere telling me what's supposedly good, or should I just experience the world anew each day and decide for myself.  Okay, I've decided that for me, I like the message, but don't like the delivery system.  "Signs, signs, everywhere signs...blocking up the scenery, breakin' my mind..."Hmm...

Until next week, keep your signs to yourself and hold onto those dreams!  xomo, ted and the furry clutterbugs.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot...speaking of good things, I thought it would be fun to include a Mary Mix CD with all orders I send out.  These are my favorites from the 40's and 50's that I used to play in my gallery.  Click here for a sneak peek of one of them.  Enjoy!
