TECO UNVEILS
NEW LOGO
While the philosophy of supporting the North American wood industry and providing a superior level of service remain much the same at TECO as when it was founded in 1933, the company has gone through a number of different looks and logos. As we expand our certification accreditations and programs into a wider array of engineered wood products and building products, it was necessary to change our corporate logo to reflect the new TECO, one where our focus is not merely wood products, but building products; that is, everything "under the roof."
TECO's new logo and new certification mark were introduced at the International Builders' Show in Orlando in February. Look for the new logo in all of our communications, on promotional material, and even in the certification mark applied to the products we certify. |

TECO Donates Textbooks to OSU
With the number of engineers graduating from schools in the U.S. and Canada being dwarfed by those in China and India, companies must do whatever they can to support engineering students in North America. TECO does its part by donating textbooks to the Wood Design class at Oregon State University.

TECO at the IBS in Orlando
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our exhibit booth at the International Builders' Show, held in Orlando in February. It was the second year in a row that TECO exhibited at what is purported to be the largest home builders' show in North America. Over 100,000 people attended the 3-1/2 day show, where TECO unveiled its new logo and look. Read more about our new logo in the story at the left.

IAS and SCC Audits Passed With Flying Colors
In order to maintain its standing as an accredited certification and inspection agency, TECO hosted auditors from the International Accreditation Service (IAS) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) in March. TECO's Technical Manager, Steven Verhey, Ph.D., served as TECO's primary contact for the audits. Both accreditation bodies praised the depth and breadth of TECO's programs that remain in full compliance with ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO Guide 65.

Drake Earns ASQ Certification
Scott Drake, TECO's Operations Manager, has received recognition by the American Society for Quality as a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.

Setsuie Awarded Royal Norwegian Order of Merit
Mr. Yoji Setsuie, TECO's Japanese Representative since 1995, has been awarded the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit for his efforts to promote and increase economic cooperation between Norway and Japan. Read More >>
