 Another year over...
Casting a glance back at 2010, it really has been a massive musical year for me, playing close to 100 gigs in various parts of NSW, VIC, SA, QLD, England and Scotland.
I've had the honour of sharing the stage with some damn fine Australian and international artists such as: Renny Field, Daryl Braithwaite, Tim McArtney, Brian Campeau, Jon Stevens, Newton Faulkner, The Lucky Wonders, Jason Lowe, Diana Anaid, Monique Brumby, Mark Sholtez, Renee Geyer and dozens more.
I've played all kinds of shows to all kinds of people, from tiny candle-lit audiences in the corners of hotels and to crowds in their thousands at outdoor gigs and festivals. I've made some beautiful new friends and fans with whom I shared stories and memories, stared down miles and miles of road in quiet solitude and marvelled at landscapes and landmarks captured through the lens of my dodgy camera.
My favourite lesson from this year has come from the incredibly synergy between life and music... I've revelled in lyrics that were written well before the experiences they have sheltered me from; found new sounds as a result of a illness, a poorly maintained instrument or a genuine mistake; and followed my muse, who has been an absolute beacon of truth and light through the darkest of times.
I'm so looking forward to welcoming in 2011... but there are still a few things to see to before then! Read on...
'Tis the season for giving...
Which is why I've decided to give something special to my friends and fans this month.
And to be on the receiving end, it's pretty simple. Just follow the steps below. In this issue: _________________________________________________________________________
