Dear friends,
Can you believe it's Easter already?
2009 is already flying by too quickly and the first few months for me have been a bit of a whirlwind. March was particularly busy... I was very lucky to be involved in a production of Jon English's "Buskers & Angels" (featuring the veteran himself) that ran at the Civic Playhouse in Newcastle (my beloved hometown) and then two days after closing night it was off to Canada to do two shows in Vancouver, followed by a showcase performance at Canadian Music Week in Toronto, then a gig at Toronto's very groovy Free Times Cafe.
I was then fortunate enough to be a delegate at South by Southwest music festival and conference in Austin, Texas (an experience that left me enlightened and exhausted all at once).
I'm now settling back into life at home and very excited to be working on demos for the forthcoming recording; the fruits of my new solo endeavour. I'm absolutely chuffed to have Gareth Hudson wearing the producer's hat for this one. If our studio demo sessions so far are any indication, this will be be a very special piece of work and something very close to my heart. I'll be keeping everyone up to date via the new website.

I'll be playing a few of the new songs as well as some newly inspired versions of previously recorded musings. Happy to be in the company of Chris Arnott, Bennie James and Barry March who will all be sharing their talents on the night.

We are still working on bits and pieces but the site now features a little blog by yours truly (not really sure how exciting that sounds.. but atleast it will be relatively up-to-date).
