ABOUT AL CARR

Appointed to the House of Delegates in 2007, Al Carr serves on the House Environmental Matters Committee and its Subcommittees on Transportation, Environment and Local Government. He previously served three terms as a Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem in the Town of Kensington.

Focusing on sustainable solutions, Delegate Carr has authored legislation on education, the environment, transportation, energy, public safety, affordable housing, and historic preservation. During his first two years in office he won several awards for his legislative accomplishments. He and his wife Barrie and their two sons live in Kensington.
