AMELIA'S PICK
I'm going to Italy and Poland - I'm an international baby. No products to buy me this month but a great column about flying with children that my mama read - you might like to read it too. Flying with kids: Infant, baby, toddler

Cari
Amici, What
a great welcome response I had from many of you this month. A lot of people
have been coming back three and four times in July to sample the new menu and too great
satisfaction. We thank you and hope to keep tantalizing your taste buds. In August Monika, the baby and I will be traveling through Poland and Italy for Amelia's baptism and
a well deserved break after an intense and sometimes stressful seven months.
We will be back Labor Day when I will start contemplating new fall dishes to
add to Sotto Sopra's menu. Chef
Christian DeLutis will be taking my place while I'm gone. Christian is one of
the most talented chefs in town and we have been collaborating together on Restaurant
Week's menu. Since our selection is so vast during Restaurant Week we will not
be offering any other menu. We automatically have extended it through Saturday,
August 28th. There have been a couple changes since we first posted the menu - check it out.
Since we run Restaurant Week for an extended period we are delaying the August birthday gift to September where both August and September birthday recipients can take full advantage of their Sotto Sopra gift.
Many of you know Natalia Kashevarova, who has been with Sotto Sopra for a number of years. She placed third as the city's best server just last year. We are please to announce that Natalia is Sotto Sopra's manager. Natalia understands our philosophy and truly keeps the customer number one priority. This
August we have events before Restaurant Week arrives. We
have Elio Scaccio returning for an encore performance of the Italian Classics
concert that everyone loved and had so much fun. The evening is $45 per person including the delicious
four course dinner and Elio's live performances. Our
wine tasting will be held Thursday, August 12th where we will feature five wines plus a Prosecco
coming from Italy, Argentina and Portugal. Our own Derrick Vaughn
will be your vino tour guide for the evening's tasting. We
welcomed lovely new customers in July, even Ty Pennington from Extreme Makeover and enjoyed breaking
bread with old friends who dined at Sotto Sopra. To all of you, I say welcome,
welcome to Sotto Sopra's lifestyle. You know I have a great outlook on life and
my colorful personality makes for some fun nights here at Sotto Sopra
- a little bragging doesn't hurt. I
hope you will keep coming to Sotto Sopra and as August is concerned, I will take you all in my
heart to Italy
for some great fun and some truly remarkable food! Until
then, remember Eat
healthy, but most importantly... eat Italian! Ciao
and live life!

HOME COOKING IN ITALY Lunch time in Venice. Outside Gino's, Dino's, and Giulio's, sweating
tourists are served lasagne and lamb chops by Polish waitresses. I,
however, am sitting in Giorgio's, and am being offered not food, but
