AMELIA'S PICK
Amelia

Bet you thought this is the Gerber baby...nope but I'm going to give her a run for the money. What do you think of this month's pick. Beachy, island flair -I'm all set for the new Tiki Bar trend in my raspberry sun hat.

I'm pretty in pink!

Amelia
Quote of the Month
"The trouble with eating Italian food is that 5 or 6 days later you're hungry again."
George Miller, British writer

Cari Amici,

I AM BACK IN THE KITCHEN! YES, SERIOUSLY I'M BACK.

Our executive chef, Bill Crouse, left Sotto Sopra two weeks ago pursuing bigger dreams and to expand his career. We had three excellent years together and I hope his talent will lead him to great fortunes.

After the birth of my daughter,  Amelia, I was itching to start cooking again. I think the baby gave me a new inspiration to revisit my old passions, cooking and enjoying life at the same time. I have been in the kitchen now two weeks and I have changed the menu in its entirety. I love being back. WOW it feels so GOOOD.

New things include octopus, fried polenta, bruschettas, a large salumi selection, and Italian cheeses (I mean huge). The burrata came in two days ago from Campania along with the buffalo mozzarella which both will arrive weekly from Italy. I have fennel with eggs, truffles, flatbreads with ricotta and anchovies, mint fazzoletti with a succulent lamb ragu and whipped mascarpone cheese,etc.etc. Click HERE to see full menu -it is a large file so it may take a bit to download.

This menu is totally everything that I like to eat, many from my childhood memories. The menu is simple Italian cuisine but I'm buying top ingredients to accentuate the flavors. I hope you will come out to taste my food and share your thoughts about my cooking abilities.

Have a great summer and....  eat well...but mostly... EAT ITALIAN.

Ciao

Riccardo & Monika Bosio

FRANK SINATRA BIOPIC BY SCORSESE

Frank Sinatra's life was nothing if not epic, so it's perhaps fitting that Martin Scorsese's attempt to bring the story of ol' blue eyes to the big screen is also turning into something of a saga. Besides Al Pacino, George Clooney and Leonard DiCaprio are also under consideration.  Read the full story at The Annotico Report

BIKING IN ROME - AN EXTREME SPORT

Given its smoggy air, aggressive motorists and pervasive lack of respect for traffic laws, Rome isn't exactly the safest city to traverse on two wheels. In March, however, the local government pledged to transform the Italian capital into a cyclist's utopia by 2020.
