Why Books?
Just the knowledge that a good book is awaiting one at the end of a long day makes that day happier.
~Kathleen Norris, Hands Full of Living, 1988

Tis the good reader that makes the good book.
   ~Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)

I find television very educational. The minute somebody turns it on, I go to the library and read a good book.
    ~Groucho Marx (1890 - 1977)

Providing Light for the Journey
People say we are helping their spiritual journey; just listen to actual quotes from our most recent event, June 13th in Hanover, New Hampshire:

candle votives- "The community was so helpful: just being with others listening for their call helped me understand more."

- "The leadership, scripture verses from "The Message," and the openness of people made the event very relevant for me."

-" I loved the facilitators style and inclusive/relaxing manner. The balance of prayerful quiet and activities helped me enjoy the pattern of focusing on the past, present, future."

Lumunos Events
Make A Living, Have a Life: These small groups have even surprised us. We set out to create a financially practical, time-sensitive "event" similar to a retreat, with good interactions, reflective exercises, and new content to help people listen for and live from their sense of meaning in the world. With your feedback, we created an inexpensive, 7 week series that you can participate in from anywhere.

The feedback has been fabulous:

"I couldn't have gotten (this new job) without Lumunos. That is, without you group members. Your insights, feedback, and reflections have made a significant difference in how I view work and how I view myself. Before Lumunos, I never seriously considered the chance to "serve" as a CPA. Working (in this new job) is exactly that. I would never have found my way here if it hadn't been for you."

"The call came today; after so many good interviews, they chose the other candidate. It is both frustrating and humbling. After losing what seemed like a lock on this job, I can confidently say I don't feel less valued or relevant in the job market. If anything, I have greater confidence to weather the storm a bit longer b/c of the insights I've received from all of you. I'm grateful for our time together, the lessons learned and shared, and the profound sense of brotherhood I've enjoyed with you as we've traveled this part of the path together. I'm farther along than I would have been otherwise. And I'd much rather be farther along than faster along."

"Our time together is such a calming and stress-releasing experience. Listening to people's lives for 60 minutes is hard work. It is important to breath and relax and you encourage that better than anyone I know."

"I really appreciate sharing our lives and stories.  It is fascinating how connections are made and how something one of you says speaks so strongly to my own discernment/process...And aware again of how Spirit-filled the listening process is."
