January 2010
Greetings!

Happy New Year!  I hope you're well! A Little Elf is truly inspired!  2010 has a great feel to it already, and I'm feeling like it's going to be a successful year for all of us!

A Little Elf is excited to announce that there are many more Elves available for organising this year.  They are all inspired to make your world more organised with some fun and speed thrown in.  We can help with the project element of your organising, and then come once a month or quarter and help you get control over that paperwork again.

Best wishes for continued success and a clear focus on your goals! We look forward to continued contact with you and the opportunity to assist you with your organising projects! Please enjoy the newsletter and send any ideas and questions you have.  Happy Organising!

Warm regards,
Karen Koedding

What are you going to do now to make 2010 a stellar year for your business or career?  If you haven't done any planning yet, make sure you do it before the end of January.  Some great ways to get clear on your goals & to create an amazing year for yourself:

1. Create a vision board or notebook.  Put it somewhere that you will see it everyday.

2. Review the last 12 months of income.  Put down in writing what you want for this year.  Carry a note in your wallet, post your goal on the wall, make it your screensaver, put it on your freezer door, put it everywhere!

3. Only put things on your to-do list that you want to do and are going to build your wealth.  Delegate and outsource the rest.  You will get used to having the free time... and will find yourself creating new wealth.

4. Organise.  (you knew that one was coming)  I am always being told by clients that being disorganised creates stress and makes them feel overwhelmed.  Clients that get organised feel like they have had a weight lifted off of them, find more energy, ambition, and creativity.  Doesn't that sound exciting?

5. Book time in your diary/datebook for fun time and holidays/vacations.

6. Stop procrastinating.  Create an alter-ego in your head for your "boss" if you are self-employed.  This new boss has demands, expectations, and deadlines for you to meet.  Don't screw up!  ;-)  Really be firm with yourself and tell yourself to JUST DO IT.  Read #3 & look at your income goal again now.

7. Exercise.  It gives you more energy & confidence, it relieves stress, and provides some quiet thinking time for you to get some great ideas.

5 Quick Tips to Shed T0-Do Tasks
  1. Delete all unread newsletters in your email box.
  2. Put all unread magazines into the recycling bin.
  3. Create a new subfolder in your email called "2009 Inbox", and move all of your inbox emails into there.  Isn't all of that white space in your Inbox lovely?
  4. Go through your action items, put dollar signs next to the items that will earn you money, move them to a new list..that's your new action list.  Delegate or just cross off everything else.  The easiest way to get rid of a to-do item is to just decide not to do it and cross it off!
  5. Automate all of your bill paying by hiring a bookkeeper or through setting it up in your online banking or with your suppliers.
