The Missing Ingredient...is YOU!

 

 
Greetings!

 

I felt an excited anticipation well up in my heart as I began to write this letter.

Why, because my time of reflection has caused me to think of  many of YOU.  It has renewed my confidence that the Lord is at work in and through those who are a part  of the Modern Day Princess (MDP) ministry. 

 

Since our inception 11 years ago, Treasured Celebrations has been on an amazing God led journey allowing us to see life-impacting changes in the hearts of thousands of teen girls and their families.  One the greatest joys on this path has been the companions the Lord has brought  to encourage us along the way:

 

v    Volunteering your time to help carry out the expansion of the ministry.

v    Becoming MDP Leaders and blessing so many of our teen girls and their families.

v    Accepting the invitation to become an Advisory Board Member, assisting in the administration and oversight of the ministry.

v    Faithfully supporting us to financially meet our monthly needs

 

Our journey has allowed us to receive many testimonies, like Elissa's email below, that re-affirm our goals and purpose:

 

"As a first time MDP leader, I was tremendously touched as I saw the outpouring of His love and provision for girls I never thought had pain in their lives.  He opened my eyes to how important this study is and the impact it has not only in the lives of the girls, but on their moms and dads as well.  Below is a card from a father sent to me last week.                     Elissa

 

Dear Elissa,

When my wife first told me about what would be expected of the fathers, "to say a blessing over our daughters," I put it off.  From my past studies I knew what that meant and I wanted no part of it.  I have been walking in darkness for years and did not want to hear His voice, but being required to speak a blessing over my daughter, my life has changed and I have come to realize I am not condemned.

I hope that Elissa's email touched your heart.  However, after receiving her email I happen to read a letter from the President of the  National Christian Foundation.  The subject line read:  "Donors care about data, not just stories."  Therefore, I am providing some of our latest stats for your review, as well:

Ø     25,400 Raising a Modern Day Princess (RMDP) books are in print as of March 2011

Ø   We have reached 48 states in our nation with the Leader's Guide & 6 countries internationally

Ø   RMDP is being translated into Spanish by FOTF and will be released this year.

 

Now that we have looked back I want to move forward and share why we need many more like YOU, by sharing our current needs and goals.  To keep this from becoming too lengthy a letter I have provided a more detailed account of our goals in the section below and the funds needed to accomplish them.   

 

What I do want to address right here and now is our highest priority: We must begin to cover our $4,000 monthly operating expenses, aiding us to continue our daily administrative functions and further expand the ministry. 

Therefore, I am asking the Lord to speak to 100 individuals, churches or businesses, who will set aside $40 per month to help us reach the millions of  teen girls who have not yet become Modern Day Princesses.  And in addition, reach the people that surround those girls' lives, like those mentioned in Elissa's email.

Top Three Goals for 2011

 

1) We want to proclaim Wednesday, October 19, 2011 Save Our Girls Day

Our goal is to provide greater visibility of our ministry across the nation on that day and train our alumni to be true ambassadors for Christ.  In order to do so, we must have the monies to cover our projected promotional costs (i.e. sending out press releases, mass postcard mailings, designing T-Shirts, etc. ) so our alumni and new leaders can raise funds in their local communities.  We are suggesting Princess Kick-off Parties, Princess Runs, and other similar events that will encourage new teen girls to attend a future MDP program.  Total Cost $3,000

2) Update the BMDP Promotional DVD      

Total cost:  $1500  

                       

Used by leaders all over the US and internationally to introduce the girl's program in their communities

 

 

3) Promote the new study for women, titled "Still His Princess ~ Becoming the 

Bride," purposed for women of all ages (18 & beyond) to discover or re-affirm their God ordained purpose and destiny.

We are praying that women leaders will rise up like they have for the Modern Day Princess program.  Therefore, we would like to make the training affordable.  A scholarship for a new leader is $150 or $1,200 for a group of 10.  Our goal, a Still His Princess leader in every state in our nation!  We short by 2 states to reach that goal with our MDP as of last month!     Total Promotional Costs $1,000.
