Doreen's Reflections
Founder of Treasured Celebrations & BMDP
With great joy I greet you and wish you a Happy New Year!
As we prepare to brave the uncharted days ahead, this is often a time of reflection, as well. That is what our families' Christmas day embraced. After a delicious traditional Mexican meal of tamales and beans we were asked to share what we were most thankful for in 2010.
I expressed the joy of our family experiencing reconciliation with a family member we had not heard from for more than 6 years... and the best part was she was with us that day! What an answer to prayer. Secondly, it was the news of my youngest sister (now 41) and her husband announcing they are expecting! Earlier this year they had resigned themselves to thinking that the Lord probably didn't want them to have children. I love the way the Lord likes to surprise us!
Then we were asked to consider what we felt the Lord wanted of us in 2011. My response ... "He wanted my listening ear." Therefore, I am seeking to quiet myself so I can hear His voice clearly regarding my life and ministry.
Reflection upon Treasured Celebrations Ministries...
Growth in the ministry was beyond my dreams as the Raising & Becoming and Modern Day Princess book and journal reached almost 20,000 in sales. This prompted a triple in the sales of the Faith-based, Enhanced Becoming a Modern Day Princess Leader's Guide. Leaders across the country and internationally implemented the program in their churches, schools and organizations! Wow, another amazing answer to our prayers.
Times of reflection and new goals for 2011 will come once again as alumni leaders and brand new leaders for TC come to Santa Fe in March for our 2011 Leadership Gathering! I can promise that if you make the trek to be with us you will be blessed mightily! Please be sure to register ASAP so we can prepare for your arrival.
From previous leaders gatherings:
"If you have a vision for this ministry and a heart to reach young girls, don't miss this unique opportunity to connect with like-minded women who will educate and encourage you as you lead your own Modern Day Princess groups."
~Diane Maxey, California
"I love sharing ideas, concerns, and vision with like-minded women working toward common goals. Every year I leave inspired and revitalized to do what God has called me to do in the lives of teen girls.
~ Naomi Shedd, Georgia

Below are pictures of just two of the women who have recently stepped forward to take the Modern Day Princess program into countries outside of the United States.
As we see greater needs in expanding the ministry this year would you consider partnering with us? We would be so blessed to see God bring the increase so that we can further our reach to at-risk teen girls across the country, the world, and begin partnering with larger organizations such as the Boys & Girl's Club, Big Sisters Inc. or children in the foster homes.
Blessings on your New Year,
Doreen Hanna
