 MDP Goes International!
Since the release of the book
Raising a Modern Day Princess and the Becoming a Modern Day Princess Girls' Journal the program has expanded to reach many new regions here in the states and internationally.
· Colleen Smit from Potchefstroom is implementing BMDP in South Africa
· Mandie Van Kleef has been asked to implement BMDP for teen girls in Papua, New Guinea
· Focus on the Family informed Doreen in July that Raising a Modern Day Princess is currently being translated into Spanish, which will pave the way for the rite-of-passage to enter into many Latin American countries
· Pam and Doreen were informed this month that PromiseKeepers, New Zealand, is featuring MDP on their promotional DVD for Dad's & Daughters. It is truly amazing to watch God extend the "tent pegs" of the ministry out into new territory. We are so grateful for your support through financial gifts and PRAYER!
Wow! While writing this Newsletter, we received our first order for a Leader's Guide from Australia! I truly is amazing to watch God extend the "tent pegs" of the ministry out into new terrirory. We are so grateful for your support through financial gifts and PRAYER!

Greetings! The above picture of the Sangre de Cristo mountains above Santa Fe was taken earlier this month by Kara Ashbaugh, my Media Assistant, . The aspen trees are breath-taking when they turn their fall colors. I wish you were here to take a a leisurely drive up there so we could enjoy the beauty and a long chat together. Knowing that probably won't come to fruition, Ill do the next best thing - write!
I love writing an update, and I'm sure you've seen by reading this one that it provides me the opportunity to reflect upon what the Lord has been doing in the ministry, how He is at work in lives of others (my family, MDP leaders, etc.), and the faith-growing opportunities he is providing in my own life. | | Chad |
Speaking of God at work in my family's life. I must tell of your of our most recent news - Chad retired in April. When this transpired I began to reminisce about that cute 23 year old who was an AT&T telephone man, climbing those tall phone polls when we were newly married, to becoming a Regional Director of Engineering in the 90's for the LA Hyatt Hotel. I gave him some time to bask in the "no more alarm clock mornings," before asking him to help me with the increasing demands of the ministry, and he graciously responded. He continues as the Executive CFO for Treasured Celebrations and now dedicates more time to that role! |

Kamy with Chad's
first harvest |
He has also been traveling with me to exhibits and events. What a great blessing all of this has been for me. I don't know what I would have done without him in this growing season of the ministry. God knew! Kamy, our youngest daughter, has been working, for the Hyatt Place, a new boutique hotel here in Santa Fe, since April. She is one of their top employees and we are so proud of her! She has also been the harvester of Chad's garden here at home this year. | | Order Books |
On a ministry note, since the release of Raising a Modern Day Princess (January 2010), we are in our fourth printing, having sold almost 20,000 copies. Never in my life did I think I'd write a book or imagine how many would be sold. I have also been thrilled with the dramatic increase in the sale of Leader's Guides! This has been my heart's desire. Hearing from new leaders who are carrying out the program in their spheres of influence reaching the lives of many. many more teen girls!
In closing I am praising the Lord for all He continues to do in all of our lives. Therefore, I would love to hear from you in turn about what has been going on in your life! Looking forward to hearing from you.
Until then - blessings upon blessings,
Xo - Doreen |
