JSM Developments

& Development

JS Media is pleased and excited to announce the official unveiling of its Development department, which emerges this spring with various TV and feature film projects.

First from JSM's Judy Sandra, a one-hour unscripted reality TV series and a feature film rom-com/drama.

Other projects in preliminary development include a one-hour TV drama and a feature film drama from award-winning writer/director Tamar Halpern.

Halpern's 2005 feature Shelf Life stars Besty Brandt, currently seen on AMC's hit TV drama "Breaking Bad" and earned the helmer the Grand Jury Award from the LA festival Dances With Films and a PRISM Award.  The film was highly praised by Variety: "Whip-smart... Tamar Halpern's Shelf Life taps into a fresh source for American comedy".

The Go is attached to Black and White
a project of JS Media client RMI

Reflection Media, Inc. has just signed
The Go for the urban period musical Black and White to be filmed in Detroit. The band takes an integral role in the film as a fictional rock/garage band and will write a number of original songs for the film.

This beloved Detroit high octane rock band describe their sound as "psychedelic pop", which is clearly heard on their fourth album release "Howl On The Haunted Beat You Ride" (Cass Records 2007). In addition to its huge fan base in Detroit, as well as New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland, over the past two years, the band has landed more than 30 placements in TV shows, movies and commercials, ranging from  "Entourage"  and "My Name Is Earle" to "The Hills Have Eyes".

A cross between West Side Story and OnceBlack and White is a dramatic musical film that celebrates the cultural and political heritage of Detroit during the turbulent late 1960's. With The Go as the second LOI attachment, RMI is in advanced talks with additional musical talent including major producers, songwriters and noteworthy figures who played integral roles in Detroit's cultural  renaissance during that time.

The project is currently out to directors and will be produced by Reflection Media, Inc.
