The 4th of July is coming and we are all starting to get excited. Not only because we are looking forward to some well-deserved time off, but because July 4th is one of our favorite holidays. We are also excited because we have some big plans for the second half of this year. We have some brand new, high energy people in our office who are as pumped up as we are about our company's mission, which is finding and installing the Bay Area's top caregivers into the homes of the seniors and convalescing adults who need them. It is rare that an organization has the opportunity to do something that they love and we are really happy to have that chance. We know firsthand what a big impact it makes in the lives of seniors and their families.

We are pleased to welcome Greg Yu on board, who is a CPA and an attorney with eighteen years of legal experience. As Chief Operations Officer of our Agency, he will make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. He is warm, caring, and is a devoted son to his parents. Greg knows firsthand how it feels to manage his parents home care needs, a task he has lovingly taken over the past few years after his father suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Also, cause for celebration in our office, is the arrival of Jeremy Crittenden. He is a smart and ambitious marketing and business development whiz. Jeremy is a recent graduate of Dominican University of California. He brings with a lot of charm and personality. He will also be running our social media/blog which we will be launching right after the holiday. Jeremy will also be out and about visiting senior centers, skilled nursing facilities, and other associated professionals in the geriatric field.

Welcome Greg Yu - Operations Manager
Greg

We are happy to welcome Greg Yu to our team as Operations Manager. Greg had something like a mid-life epiphany when his mentor-dad sustained a traumatic brain injury after a car accident two years ago. He decided that there was nothing more important in his life than finding the help that his father and mother needed to get them through the difficulties of recovering from and living with the disabilities his dad now had due to the accident.

As a CPA and an attorney with 18 years of legal experience under his belt, Greg cut his schedule way down to accommodate his decision to commute from Burlingame to Michigan monthly to attend to his parents' needs. Eventually he decided to move them close to his home so that they could enjoy his family, the California weather, and so that he could make sure that he could watch over his parents more closely.

How many sons will sacrifice their careers like that? We were thrilled when he answered our ad for our Operations Manager position and he was very happy to encounter our job opportunity. "It was serendipitous" he says. "It was much more than that", says Home Sweet Home Care's founder and director, Shirley Cohen. "This was a match made in Heaven!"

Welcome Jeremy Crittenden - Director of Marketing

Jeremy Crittenden, our new Director of Marketing, dropped out of his pre-med program when, as a sophomore, he decided to follow his heart and go into the business program at the distinguished Dominican University of California in San Rafael.  The more he studied marketing and business the more, he says, he realized he was right where he was supposed to be.

Born and raised in Sacramento, Jeremy has a wonderful enthusiasm for his craft and a magnetic personality.  Personable, creative, and outgoing, he fits right in with our office staff and brings a cheerful note along with him everywhere he goes.

Jeremy says he's happy to have found us and looks forward to working with our team to support sick and disabled seniors who prefer to live in their own homes with some competent and qualified home care help rather than in board and care settings or nursing homes.  We know just how he feels, and we look forward to working with him to help us find all the people who are looking for hand-picked caregivers to care for themselves or their loved ones.
