DeSales proudly opened its 57th school year last week, welcoming a new class of freshmen and many transfer students to the community.
It is a great joy to welcome new members to the DeSales Family, and the faculty and staff are excited for the new school year!
As we move move along into the semester, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the life of DeSales. Please read on to see just a few of these fun events highlighted. |

Soccer Team Trivia Night
Support Colts Soccer and test your trivia skills this weekend at DeSales. The Soccer Team will host a Trivia Night on Saturday, August 25th, starting at 6:00 pm. The winning team takes home $150! Call Lynn Dodge at (502) 599-2587 to reserve your table.

The Return of "Teen Club"
Who out there remembers the Fanatics? The Oxfords? How about Elysian Field? What do all of these bands have in common? They played at 8:30 pm on Fridays at the DeSales Teen Club.
And now, here's your chance to relive those great times in the sixties and seventies. Join us on September 22 as DeSales welcomes back the Monarchs, 50 years after they first played at the DeSales Teen Club.
Tickets are on sale now, including special VIP "Hi-Fi Club" reserved seating. Purchase in advance at a reduced price. This is a 21-and-over show and will include special appearances by several original members of the band!

DeSales Athletics Conducting Raffle
 The Athletics Office is offering a "Split the Pot" raffle in September to benefit all sports at DeSales.
Chances are $10, and the drawing will take place September 21st at 3 pm, with the winner being announced at halftime of that evening's football game.

 DeSales "Day at the Downs" Set for November 3rd
We are pleased to invite you to the fourth annual "DeSales Day at the Downs" on Saturday, November 3rd, during the Fall Meet at Churchill Downs.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to socialize with DeSales parents, friends and alumni on Millionaires Row at Churchill Downs. All registrants this year will be seated together on Millionaires Row 6.
Your ticket also includes a race-day program and a brunch buffet available from 11:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Registration payments must be received by September 28th to guarantee a seat. This event frequently sells out.

Hall of Honors Members Inducted
We would like to congratulate the recipients of the 2012 Hall of Honors awards, six individuals who were recognized during a ceremony on August 14th at DeSales. What a blessing they have all been to the DeSales community!
