About the Holy Rosary Scholarship Program
Holy Rosary Academy was founded in 1867 by the Dominican Sisters of Saint Catharine, KY. In July 1997, Holy Rosary merged with Spalding University and was operated as a sister school of Presentation Academy. The school closed in 2002, after more than 135 years of providing education in Louisville.
Today, the Holy Rosary name is carried on in the form of a scholarship program at DeSales and Holy Cross High Schools. The Holy Rosary Scholarship is presented to descendants of Rosary graduates and is funded by an endowment set up through the proceeds of the annual Ramble for the Roses. The Ramble Trivia Night will serve to supplement these funds and to help ensure that the Rosary name endures for many years to come. |
