 Greetings!
Sometimes we get a question asked about our four feeder schools, and we wonder, "Which four?" It's more like forty!
DeSales is blessed to attract students from all over the Greater Louisville area, including Shepherdsville and Oldham County.
With a quick show of hands in the cafeteria at lunch, you might see students representing 18 different Catholic grade schools: Sts. Agnes, Aloysius, Andrew, Athanasius, Bernard, Gabriel, James, Martha, Nicholas, Paul, Raphael, Rita, and Stephen Martyr; Acension, Holy Family, John Paul II, Nativity, and Notre Dame.
And that's not to mention the over twenty different public and private schools that contribute to the DeSales Family.

 Fillies Club Social
The Fillies Club will be holding a social event for DeSales Moms on October 20 at 6:30 pm. Come and spend the evening with some friends and perhaps make some new ones! Moms new to DeSales can ask questions and get information and advice from current ones. If you are interested in carpooling, there may be someone else here that is also interested. Please join us for an informal evening talking, laughing and of course, snacking. Please enter from the deck at the back of the school.  Cross Country Invitational
Coach Wise '84 and the Cross Country team are expecting to break the school record of 50 different schools and 1,200 runners as they host this Saturday's Cross Country Invitational at McNeely Lake Park.

 We're Off to the Races!
The second DeSales Day at the Downs is set for Saturday, November 27, during the Fall Meet at Churchill Downs. The event is hosted by the Alumni Association, but all are welcome to attend.
Flyers have gone out in the mail, but if you have not received one, you can download a registration form by visiting our Day at the Downs web page.
The Class of 1995 and 2000 will be holding their reunions during this event. Members of these classes may also register using this form.
Pre-purchased tickets will be available for pick up at the school on Monday and Tuesday, November 22-23 from 8 am to 4 pm, or on Saturday, November 27, at the Gate 10 will-call window.

News & Notes
 You are invited to a Halloween Dance/Bash at DeSales on Saturday, October 30, from 8pm to 1 am. This is an adults-only party featuring live music from The Wilson Brothers, with proceeds benefiting the DeSales Soccer Team. Cost is $15/person or $25/couple, and drinks and snacks will also be available for purchase. Costumes optional! For more info, please call Lynn at 599-2587 or Susan at 797-4457.
The Key Club is sponsoring the annual Blanket Louisville drive at DeSales from October 18 to November 18. We're accepting new and slightly used blankets. Please contact bill.moore@desaleshs.com for more information.
Mike Cox '74 was successful as the honorary coach for the Christian Academy game, helping inspire the Colts Football Team to victory in a very important district match-up. Special thanks to Mark Naber at Hilliard Lyons for sponsoring Mike.
