The secret is out!  With 102 freshman entering DeSales in August, the good news about the great things unfolding at DeSales has spread to every corner of the Louisville area.  From LaGrange to Spencer County to Bardstown Road to Shepherdsville, our Class of 2014 represents 30 different feeder schools throughout the region.

Hall of Honors Recognizes Six 
Kicking off the new school year in style, DeSales welcomed guest speaker Pat Day to the school and celebrated the accomplishments of six individuals at the  2010 Hall of Honors Awards dinner on August 17th.
 
With nearly 300 in attendance, the crowd listened to a spiritual and inspirational message from Pat Day before paying tribute to the evening's special guests during an induction ceremony.  A toast to the honored guest and the singing of the school song capped off a very memorable night.
 
Colts SoccerTest Your Trivia Knowledge 
The Soccer Team is holding a Trivia Night Fundraiser on Saturday, August 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the DeSales Gymnasium.  The cost per person is $10, with a maximum of 8 players per team.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Call Lynn Dodge at 599-2587 to reserve a table.

Athletics to Host Golf Outing
The DeSales Athletic Department is hosting the 1st Annual "Colt Classic" Golf Scramble on the 18th of September at 8:30 a.m.  The scramble will be held at the beautiful Glen Mary Country Club.  All proceeds from the golf scramble will go to support all nine of the athletic programs.

The cost per player is $75. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch, and two drink tickets.  Snacks and other refreshments will be available for your purchase through the clubhouse.

Kevin Flanery '83 will be recognized at the Bellarmine University Gallery of Distinguished Alumni dinner on September 11 at the Henry Clay in downtown Louisville.  Kevin is the Chairman of the DeSales Board of Directors and a 1987 graduate of Bellarmine.
 
Congratulations to alumnus Joe Link, the first honorary coach for a DeSales home football game this season.  Joe was sponsored by members of the Class of '71, who donated $1,000 to the school for this special opportunity.
