The Delta Chi Fraternity
General Letter to all Chapter/Colony "D"s - January 2012
Greetings!

Through the years many "D"s have performed their jobs efficiently and saved their chapter hundreds of dollars in potential fines or assessments, while others have cost their chapter unnecessary fines due to simple negligence. I hope that you will join the first group!

Please review the included "Reference Sheet" for details.

No position in an undergraduate chapter has more potential to either protect or to truly damage the chapter than that of "D". The key areas to watch are simply too numerous to mention in one letter so here are just a few:

1. You must have a budget.
2. You must be held accountable by at least the Exec but preferably the ABT.
3. You must not let your A/R get away from you.
4. You must get the chapter to charge adequate dues.
5. You must pay the associate member dues within two weeks of affiliation.
6. You must receive authorization from the HQ prior to the chapter's holding an initiation (this includes alumni initiations) in order to avoid a $25 fine per initiate.

A current copy of the Supply Order Form is included. Note that payment must accompany all orders that are mailed. Also included is the Reference Sheet that has a description of all items for which your chapter will be billed.

Finally, in order to be eligible to vote at the Regional Conference, your chapter will have to have at least ten members and owe Delta Chi less than $150 (that includes any delinquencies on housing fund loans to the chapter or its house corporation) at the convening of the Regional Conference. If your chapter is on a payment plan, then it must have remained current on that plan for at least the past twelve (12) months.

Fraternally,
