  • The Corporate Center Welcomes Ruedi Holder & Associates
  • In fall 2009, Paul Ruedi and Dan Holder, two experienced financial planners, opened up their offices at 2004 Fox Drive. Both Ruedi and Holder were former executives at Strategic Capital Trust in Champaign, and left to start their own registered investment advisory firm.

Likewise, Holder decided to move his certified public accounting firm, Daniel E. Holder and Associates, Inc. to 2004 Fox Drive. Holder is also a recognized financial planner who was associated with Clifton Gunderson before he joined Strategic Capital Trust. Both Ruedi and Holder are still serving their original clients that followed them to their new location and are looking to create more business with their experience and expertise.

  • OUTSIDE at the Research Park
  • Friday, July 16th and Friday, August 13, 2010

Come enjoy great music, food, and drinks at the fourth annual OUTSIDE at the Research Park Concert Series! The event features free concerts by national artists in a fun, relaxed environment while promoting green philosophies. All concerts are free and appropriate for all ages, so all are welcome to bring the whole family to the green festival.

    Featured green practices:
    · bio-diesel generator powering the stage (donated by Caterpillar in 2009)
    · biodegradable and/or recycled materials in all food services operations
    · source-separation and recycling of all glass, aluminum, and plastic
    · locally-grown and organic foods available for purchase whenever possible
    · energy-saving LED technology in landscape lighting
    · August 13th at 5:30 pm, the concert will feature a green fair, showcasing green businesses and organizations

    July 16th, 6:15 pm

One of the most entertaining and in-demand Creole Zydeco bands, Nathan Williams and the Zydeco Cha Chas, will be taking the stage at 7:30 pm. In the world of contemporary African-American music, roots styles are easily categorized as old music, good for sampling maybe, but not music that relates to the lives of mainstream American people. Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas might make us think twice about this assumption, for here is uplifting, new music that remains connected to its place in history. If you haven't heard what's happening in zydeco lately, here's your chance!

    August 13th, 5:30 pm

Blending high-energy soukous, Ghananian Highlife, and African Jazz, the Occidental Brothers Dance Band International with Samba Mapangala will perform at 7:30 pm. They have conjured the golden age of the African guitar band and have become favorites of music critics and devotees of the style. OBDBI is led by guitarist Nathaniel Braddock, an instructor at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music, and twice profiled in Guitar Player magazine. Braddock is joined by Greg Ward on alto, Joshua Ramos on bass, and Makaya McCraven on drums. Samba sings in the melifluous, but rhythmically complex style of the Congolese singers, blending both Swahili and Lingala. Come listen to the music that has inspired an audience as diverse as the members of the band!

This ring can support the latest high speed communication services, such as Gigabit Ethernet and Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), for the tenants of the Corporate Center.
