How to flight the ball with Scott Mahlberg
Controlling your ball flight
It is important to control the flight of the ball for windy conditions and distance control. Advanced players will normally flight the ball lower as the pin is further back in the green. Lower flighted balls normally hold their line better and are less influenced by the wind. It is also helpful to hit lower flighted balls when there is tree trouble. View the above video for a simple way to hit the ball on your desired trajectory.
Figure 4 Stretch with Jeremy Klinkhamer
Message from Body Balance
It has been my pleasure to be associated with Body Balance since 2000. They have an on site presence at Stadium Golf Center adjoined to the club house. I have sent many students to them to improve their strength and flexibility and I have seen some amazing results.
Jeremy Klinkhamer has submitted the following story that I think you might enjoy:click Here (PDF). He also submitted stretches that are golf specific that are designed to help you with your swing. Click on the above video and view all the stretching videos by clicking on the "7 videos" heading on the YouTube page you are directed to. I think you will see and feel the value of these stretches if you try them. This is timely information for those of you that are starting with your New Year's resolutions.
Most inpirational student of 2011: Michael Thorsnes
It has been my pleasure to help Michael with his golf game for the past year and a half. During that time he has shown steady improvement. He is now shooting somewhere between bogey and double bogey golf. This is a true acheivement since Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease several years ago. You would never know this by his demeanor. He recently received the "Spirit of Life" award that is given by the Parkinson"s Association of San Diego. In addition to being an accomplished poet and photographer, Michael is truly inspirational in how he has approched his golf game.

TaylorMade is introducing a new line of equipment called Rocketballz. The driver is faster, bigger and longer and is the most adjustable driver on the market. Perhaps the most remarkable addition in this line is the 3 metal. This new line will be available on 2/2/2012.
Tour professionals are carrying the ball over 300 yards with this club. (See video below if you are interested.) Par fives of 600+ yards are now reachable for the long hitters on tour. It will be interesting to see how this translates to amateurs with driver club head speed of 90 to 100 mph.
