Did you know that, growing up in Canada, girls have a 1 in 2 chance of experiencing at least one incident of physical or sexual abuse? Until this changes, we will never reach our true potential.

Starting this month, we will be bringing attention to these challenges through our first national public awareness campaign. It's a Girl

Our hope is that by bringing attention to the challenges facing girls in Canada, that we can take away the threat of violence and poverty that every girl in Canada must face.

Thank you for helping to change the future for women and girls.

"I want them to see the sky's the limit..."

Bev DalesBev Dales understands the need to invest in women and girls in Canada.

"I have two granddaughters, one 11 and one 14, and they are both at that prime age when girls start to face certain challenges.

I've heard some young women say "Women are already equal." But the reality is that women are still hitting brick walls.

I want my granddaughters to know it's possible to do everything they want to do. I want them to see that the sky's the limit, and that no one can keep them from reaching their goals."
