Hamilton's Young Professionals Make their Mark
On October 23, Hamilton played host to the city's first ever young professional conference via its top young professional network; Hamilton Hive. Titled Hive X, this conference brought together nearly 200 young professionals for an all-day event that saw a mix of local and nationally recognized speakers and engaging workshops aimed at producing activities to be focused on in 2012. The focus of the day centred around transportation issues, changing Hamilton's image online, adaptive re-use in the downtown and youth attraction and retention strategies. The Hive will now be working on a summary document of the day to share with the community to be released in the winter of 2011. If you or your organization is interested in learning more about Hamilton's young professional groups or how to get involved, visit: www.hamiltonhive.ca. |
