Herb (Sea Veggie) of the Month: Irish Moss (chondrus crispus)
| Irish Moss is a wild harvested seaweed from either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean. It is a rich source of trace minerals including iodine. Taken internally, it can boost metabolism, help improve skin condition, reduce inflammation, boost lung tissue health and aid in treating intestinal disorders. Used externally, it is great to soften tissues, help skin tone and elasticity, diminish under eye bags, rehydrate dry skin, treat sunburns and even help dry hair. It can also be used to thicken puddings, ice cream and even toothpaste. Make sure to avoid if you are taking blood thinners.
