Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, in partnership with Menla Holistic Health, is offering these workshops to help health professionals, care-givers, and healers deepen their relationship with healing while creating a sustainable and nurturing personal lifestyle.
These weekends present three basic elements of contemplative healing. They stand on their own and can be taken individually, or as a set of dynamic three trainings that build on one another. They are also preparatory for the full learning process of the seven-weekend Menla Training.
Intended for all health professionals, caregivers, and everyone interested in the 'path of contemplative healing'. |

Communication In Healing: How to Stay Balanced in Interaction - Unbiasing Empathy March 30 - April 1, 2012
This course focuses on the healing relationship and the inner conflict between the unavoidable feelings that arise during any human connection, and our attempt to maintain socially correct interest and empathy. Without observing one's own emotional responses, all the various strategies to manage intensity in healing will weaken or freeze the communication. This weekend offers a glimpse of how to release genuine empathy from our reactive defenses, thus encouraging a balanced way to stay helpful in the healing human interchange.
We've all experienced the pull to drown in a patient's sorrows or struggles along with them. Conversely, we've all felt our hearts close off to patients and exude indifference or ambivalence. These are natural human tendencies. Finding equanimity with our patients, and bringing unbiasing empathy to our healing exchanges can be challenging. And yet, it's greatly needed in order to protect us from exhaustion and burn-out, maintain socially correct boundaries, and to offer love infused with wisdom to patients throughout their process.
This weekend will help us recognize our reactive defenses and allow genuine empathy in the actual moment of contact, and to see how we can be more connected with ourselves and our patients.

Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche and his vision in the field of healing
Khenpo Rinpoche in 1994 started to teach healing to interested people at Karme Choling, Vermont. After three years of teaching, he initiated the Menla Training series for health professionals. Following his instructions, Menla Training evolved, offering workshops and training in Europe and the USA for the last ten years. Serving Rinpoche's vision and wishes, and following the invitation of KTD, another place where Rinpoche taught, a series of introductory workshops and a full one-year training will be offered at Woodstock, NY, starting in January, 2012. With best wishes, Phil Weber and Christoph Klonk
