Introducing Our Newest Whoopie Pie

Chocolate with Chocolate Ganache

Just in time for Valentine's Day for all you chocolate lovers, we have worked steadily on our newest flavor - you know trying all kinds of chocolate and tasting and tasting but we believe we have come up with the perfect balance of chocolate with chocolate.

The chocolate whoopie features our delicious triple chocolate cake with a melt in your mouth chocolate ganache filling. Over this past weekend we offered them at the café with rave reviews! As one woman commented, and I quote, "This is better than sex!" - so there you have it.

Like all of our fillings, the chocolate ganache is also made with organic butter cream and of course, dark chocolate.

We are working of other new flavors as well-stay tuned. And thank you for those suggestions!

Valentine's Day Tastings

Just in time for Valentine's Day The Whoopie is having a couple of tastings. Please stop by and bring your friends.

Saturday, February 12th  

Leary's Fine Wine & Spirits from 4:00-7:00pm
202 Merrimac Street, Newburyport  

We will be pairing The Whoopie with wine, beer and other spirits.  Because The Whoopie is made with three types of quality dessert chocolate you can pair them with many spirits, making it a fun dessert course for entertaining or as a hostess gift.  We hope you will stop by and taste what Todd & the fine folks at Leary's have to offer.

Where in the World is the Whoopie Campaign Launched

Since we opened Chococoa Café we have met the most inspiring and interesting people, one of the great benefits of owning the Café.  Our customer and friend, Davis Lee who casually announced one day in the Café he was swimming the English Channel (like this happens all the time).  

Davis took it upon himself to bring our whoopie pies along so he could be photographed eating a Whoopie in the middle of the English Channel.  This gave us the idea to launch a yearlong campaign ..."Where in the World is The Whoopie".  

Now, your adventure might not be so dramatic as swimming the English Channel but for your next amazing trip/adventure bring along The Whoopie and photograph yourself with them.  We will post it in the Café for all to see and in our future newsletters.  Have some fun with it!

Just a couple of guidelines...please no Photoshop-keep it real!  It must somehow be documented either in front of a sign or landmark or something unique to your location.   

By the way, Davis does not recommend eating whoopies with salt water! Thank you, Davis for bringing along The Whoopie, and congratulations on your accomplishment.
