Notice of Public Hearing: Orange Theory Fitness
Orange Theory Fitness (3252-A West Lake St, Calhoun Village) is requesting a Conditional Use Permit.
The recently opened Orange Theory Fitness is seeking a Conditional Use Permit for the installation of one shower for patrons. The request changes the use classification from minor sports and health facility to major sports and health facility.

Hearing: Power Lines on the Midtown Greenway
The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Hearings regarding Xcel Energy's Hiawatha Project (adding high voltage transmission lines along the Midtown Greenway or nearby) will be held: Tuesday, January 10 and Thursday, January 12 9:30 a.m. Metro Square Building 121 7th Place E Suite 350 St. Paul Map See the official PUC notice for more information: Notice of Commission Meetings. The Midtown Greenway Coalition is encouraging the PUC to uphold the Administrative Law Judge's recommendation that the power lines should be buried under 28th Street, not routed overhead and not on the Greenway. Brownie Lake Area Plan Open Houses
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) will hold two open houses to review recommendations for the Brownie Lake Area Plan.
Tuesday, January 17 and Tuesday, February 14 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Kenwood Community Center 2101 W Franklin Ave. Map
The MPRB has been working with a Citizen Advisory Committee CAC) to develop recommendations that will be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners in March. The open houses will provide the public with an opportunity to comment on these recommendations.
The first open house will present possible options for the area plan for comment. Ideas and suggestions gathered will assist in developing the preferred option. The preferred option will then be presented for review and discussion at the second open house.

New Apartment Project Proposed for CIDNA
Ted Bigos has initiated discussions with CIDNA to propose a large apartment project on the vacant land owned by Billy Weisman at Lake St. and Thomas Ave. east of the Calhoun Beach Club (Map). Your input is encouraged.
Although Mr. Bigos has not yet made a specific proposal, 150 units have been discussed.
The next meeting with the architect is scheduled for: 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23 . Please contact Bob Corrick, Chair of the Land Use Committee, to attend this meeting, to ask questions, or to provide input. CIDNA will provide information about the project on its website when available. Public feedback will be solicited. The due diligence process will take six months or more.
