Winter is upon us. You have one last chance to get rid of those bags of leaves.
The City of Minneapolis is scheduling a special yard waste collection for December 7-9.
All Solid Waste & Recycling customers are encouraged to properly prepare and set out yard waste by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7. Properly prepared yard waste will be collected December 7-9. Yard waste crews will not follow typical collection days, so it's important to have your yard waste at its regular collection point by 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
The regular yard waste collection season ended in mid-November, so this one-time collection is designed to assist residents by providing a convenient method to dispose of yard waste accumulated after the end of the regular yard waste season.
When preparing yard waste:
- Brush and branches are to be put into bundles. Individual branches must not be longer than 3 feet and no larger than 3 inches in diameter.
- Bags must weigh less than 40 pounds.
