The Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) is preparing for the 2012 replacement of a sewage force main that passes through the Cedar-Isles-Dean neighborhood.

The selected route follows Sunset Boulevard between France Avenue and Depot Street. The Facility Plan calls for the placing the redundant (two) force main pipes under one roadway and restoring the roadway from curb to curb. While the City has requested MCES to restore the street as per the original design, the neighborhood has asked if the street design can be improved.
