February / 2010
Welcome to Northgate Chamber

Greetings!

We hope you can join us in next week for our Quarterly After Hours hosted by Gene Juarez at Northgate Mall. It will be a great opportunity to network in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!

Also, in the newsletter, meet some of the new Chamber board members for 2011.

A message from the Northgate

Chamber President

Great opportunity blooms in the year ahead.

The general news has been tiring as gloom and doom continue to prevail. If you believe this message, it will continue to manifest.

What is really happening is "change." There is a continuous cycle of change occurring for all of us. Whether it is "good" or "bad" is a matter of perspective. As a business owner in our community, I maintain that change is always positive. With this viewpoint, I look for change and maintain awareness of opportunities to adapt or lead the change to the marketplace. This is the essence of being successful in business.

As the president of the Northgate Chamber of Commerce, I am working to carry this message to our community. The Board of Directors and I are working to connect, communicate, educate and serve the members of our community in 2011 and beyond.

We are laying the foundations for building a large and active membership that benefits from having greater access to other members, education for owners and staff, as well as activities to expand business through our events.

I am putting out the call for members to get involved with the Chamber as a team volunteer. This is a simple way to increase public awareness of your business and provide great service to the community. When you are called upon by our membership ambassador team, say yes to volunteering to expand the reach of business in our community.

Be an active part of the Northgate Chamber of Commerce's future, today!

Samuel C Zeiler, President

Northgate was one of our earliest locations for Gene Juarez, but the space is brand new, situated right next door to Nordstrom, and part of the mall renovation. Renowned designers made sure that every detail exuded luxury and warmth. Inside the front door, you're welcomed by whimsical Italian hand blown glass spheres and walls that sparkle with metal beads and sculptural floral designs. A freestanding stone globe fireplace warms you in the waiting area. Inside, Gene Juarez offers services that relax and renew, including individual hair service "studios" that embody the company's commitment to providing the absolute best experience available.

The salon offers: Couture Haircuts, Shampoo/Blow Dry, Custom  Color and Highlighting, Relaxers, Conditioning Treatments, Custom-Blend Makeup Artistry, Bridal Makeup, Manicures, Pedicures, Nail Enhancements, Customized Facials, Facial and Body Waxing, and Massages.

Giving back to the community!

Pictured to the right is Bill Smallwood presenting a check to a representative from the Northgate Community Center for $500. The money was raised in part at the Northgate Festival, where Bill chaired the Classic Mustang Car Show for the event. His car club, Mustangs Northwest choose the Community Center to receive all the funds raised from car entry fees. Sponsor Bill Pierre Ford gave the money for trophies for the winning vehicles which freed up funding to give to Community Center. Mustangs Northwest rounded the amount up to $500. The check was presented at the December Northgate Chamber lunch.
