The Refuge Community

Dear Friends & Family,

Greetings from The Refuge Community!

This Sunday April 29, 2012 at 6pm we will be having our monthly potluck dinner, everyone is welcome. Bring a favorite dish and a friend or two. We will also be taking communion together. We look forward to spending time with each of you.

Whether you fellowship at The Refuge Community or another church, you are welcome to come and hang out with us for dinner.

We are now meeting regularly on Sunday evenings at 6pm. The Refuge Community is a casual church body, multicultural, and organic in nature. We are a victorious and presence driven church.

Here is just a glimpse of our heart and focus at TRC. When we began to form TRC, the Lord gave us 7 Focuses or what we call the 7F's. These are the things that we were to build on, the things that create community and relationships within a culture.

Family - We believe that family is a priority and it is our desire to function as a family, encourage family relationships, and be a family for those who are longing for one.

Friends - We believe that friendships are important. We want to create a place where friendships are built and cultivated.

Fellowship - We believe that fellowship is vital for personal and corporate spiritual growth. It is a priority for us to spend time together.

Foundation - We believe that having a strong biblical foundation is key to knowing God. Our identity in Christ is foundational to how we live out our faith, and we seek to pursue not only the Word of God, but the Spirit of God.

Freedom - We believe in the freedom that was purchased for us in Christ. Our desire is to create a culture of freedom, creativity and authenticity. We are a naturally supernatural community.

Fun - We believe that the kingdom of God is full of adventure, exploration and joy. Our heart's desire is to be a reflection of the peace, rest, and goodness of God. We are a body marked by celebration, victory and FUN!

Food - We believe there is power in thanksgiving, celebration and in the building of relationships. In the early church, fellowship was marked by feasts, the breaking of bread & communion. Feeding the spirit, soul and body is at the heart of who we are.

We look forward to celebrating with you. See you at The Refuge!
