Greetings!
Greetings!
Hope you're having a great summer thus far. I certainly am as it's been one adventure after another and there are several more to come.
My daughter, Grace, graduated from HS and headed right up to Penn Yan, NY to work at Camp Cory. My son, George, and I took off for the north via the autotrain. Fun interesting experience! From there we enjoyed three fun nights in State College, PA. Great fun to see several friends from my days there and got in a great bike ride. Have to get back to learning these hills before the Spinning Divas hit the road. From PA, George & I headed to Rochester, NY, where I've been for 2 weeks now. It's nice being "home". Both kids are at camp and I've had a great time visiting with friends, enjoying some of my favorite restaurants and cycling/running along some beautiful scenery.
It's been so wonderful being with such good girlfriends which always reminds me just how important they are. So enjoy the summer with your family, but don't forget to make time for yourself and enjoy some time with a gal pal!

GO 'N GROOVE HAPPY HOURS
Come Celebrate Women & Friendship This Summer
While in State College, PA, several of us gathered at Zola's in downtown for some great conversation as well as a little wine. It was fun to see women that don't know each other in this small town meet and realize how much in common they have.
Thursday, July 15, Go 'n Groove will be hosting another Happy Hour (6-7pm) at Label 7 in Schoen Place in Pittsford, NY.
Stop by and say hello, learn about Go 'n Groove's upcoming trips and Rochester Fashion Week (9/30 - 10/2)!
Enjoy a drink with us (beer & wine on Go 'n Groove).
Gift baskets designed just for "gals" will be available for raffle, proceeds go to The Center For Youth, which is the designated recipient of Rochester Fashion Week.

FROLIC IN MIAMI
At The Betsy Hotel, South Beach
Many women were interested in the
FASHION*FOOD*FROLIC, Experience Miami trip I put
together for this past March, but several said it was too
expensive and too inclusive of events. So I'm putting
together another trip, but this time with three nights
(Th., Fri. & Sat., March 17 - 20, 2011) with an option to arrive on Wednesday. I'm working with the Betsy Hotel and am pretty sure we will convene at this wonderful historic landmark hotel in South Beach.
Our first group event will be the Sunset Cruise that
Thursday. The "Fashion Talk" by Meghan Mundy on
Friday morning along with the visit to the museum and
luncheon on Friday mid day will be optional choices.
Visits to the Bal Harbour and Dolphin Malls with
Meghan will also be available and optional. On
Saturday, we'll offer an optional bike ride along Key
Biscayne as well as a cooking class in Coral Gables.
That night we'll stop by Romero Britto's gallery on
Lincoln Ave. (optional) and meet for a group dinner.
These changes will save 1) on one nights stay and 2)
you'll be paying for less events that were part of the
package. They will now be available to you as options.
So depending on your budget and your interests, I am
hoping this trip will be more appealing.

GO 'n GROOVE TESTIMONIALS
Peggy Ilacqua (upper right corner) on Girl*friends
I have been fortunate to have traveled on four of Karen's Go 'n Groove trips. Having been invited by a friend, at first I was apprehensive at the thought of someone else planning the trip and being part of an event where I only knew one friend. From the time we were greeted at the hotel desk, and handed envelopes waiting for us from Karen, to the dinners and events throughout the weekend, I felt relaxed and well cared for.
The quality and variety of women that Karen attracts to Go 'n Groove trips is what sets her apart. I have met so many wonderful women of all backgrounds with a variety of interests. Karen's attention to detail while planning the trips is obvious. She knows the hotels, events happening in the area and all the ins and outs that I would not have had time to explore. Another great aspect of her trips is that they are not overly planned. Everyone has the choice to attend, or not attend the meals, events and gatherings without any feelings of pressure.
I enjoyed meeting new women at the Friday night cocktail hour and sharing what interests, sports and sites the other women would be participating in over the weekend and sometimes choosing to join others in events I had not been aware of. Karen is skilled at negotiating the best value in hotels that offer a desired high-end quality without overpaying. I look forward to seeing what new trips Go 'n Groove has to offer as Karen is always looking to expand our horizons!
