What is Flex in the City?

Flex in the City is an annual event in surrounding Houston area in which employers are encouraged to adopt new flexible workplace policies for the duration of the event. Previously, the study was conducted over a two-week period in May. This year, we plan to conduct a month long study!

Possible flexible workplace policies are 9-80s, work-shifting, and telecommuting. Not sure what these are, or what your organization can do? Call us! We are happy to help you develop your own workplace flexibility pilot program.

Flex in the City is really special because we work with the Texas Transportation Institute, and use the services of Brown & Gay Engineering to conduct mobility studies. What our research has consistently shown is that when area employers adopt flexible workplace policies, there is a net benefit in area mobility.

What does this mean? It means there is less traffic! Which means commuters lose less time fighting each other on our freeways, and there is less polution due to vehicle emissions.

Surveys of participating employers and employees consistently show improved productivity, and increased morale! It is incredible to think that simple changes in workplace policies can benefit employers, employees, and even the rest of city!

We hope you join. It is a very satisfying feeling to know that your sensible decisions can make such a positive difference.

Call us and we'll get you started today!
