My wife and I are always interested in the Vancouver food scene and to see a local chef win the prize of "Canada's Next Top Chef" made us very proud.  We had the opportunity to dine at Chef Dale MacKay's new restaurant 'Ensemble' and loved every bite! To start I had the 16-Month Aged Prosciutto Salad that comes with bocconcini, strawberries and cucumber ($12) and my wife tried the Tomato & Watermelon Salad with Mascarpone and Vanilla Balsamic Dressing ($9.5), both were very delicious and a good start to our dinning experience.

For the main course, my wife had the Black Cod with Thai Broth ($18) and I could not resist the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Apple-Horseradish Slaw, Watermelon and Fried Pickle ($9.5).

To finish off the night we had to share a dessert and our choice was the Chocolate Sundae Bailey's Ice Cream, Biscotti Crumble ($9). Yes, it tasted just as good as it sounds! Over all we left very happy with our experience at Ensemble. Although some of the dishes might be on the smaller side the flavors, presentation and atmosphere were perfect and we are looking forward to returning to try some of the other items.
