I was lucky enough to get into this Gastown pizzeria and I was delighted to get an authentic pizza smell from the moment I walked through the door. To start, we had the salati assorti: a big plate of cured meats, cheese, marinated and grilled vegetables, olives and capers, a meal on its own but we has to save room to try this authentic pizza.

My wife had the classic Margherita $14.25, fresh plum tomato sauce,fior di latte mozzarella, padano cheese ,fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil, simple and delicious. I indulged in the Diavola $16.25, fresh plum tomatoes, spicy genoa salami, capicollo roasted red onion and peppers topped with grana padano, fresh basil and olive oil. These pizzas were cooked to perfection, the crust a perfect combination of crisp and chewy along with the right amount of toppings, made it two of the best pizza's I have tasted in Vancouver.
