Vancouver is still showing to be a solid place to invest your real estate dollars and in this hot market many Vancouverites are cashing big on there current real estate investments.
Greater Vancouver saw a typical, solid month of residential home sales on the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in April, in contrast to the near record pace witnessed in the two preceding months.Full Report

FOOD Dirty Apron Delicatessen
Last week while I was doing an open house on Beatty St., I had the pleasure to eat at the Dirty Apron (540 Beatty Street between Dunsmuir and Pender Street) and as I browsed through their selection of artisan sandwiches, I decided to go with what I think is one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I have ever had. It came on a fresh baguette with shaved carrots and cilantro. Luckily for me I had a second open house at this location and I had the pleasure to enjoy a second lunch at The Dirty Apron and this time I went with a Montreal smoked meat sandwich on a baguette, with a combination of shallot mustard, shaved fennel, basil and pickles as the fixings to accompany this tasty sandwich.
Always fresh, they have a selection of soups and desserts along with great daily lunch and dinner specials. Check out The Vancouver Sun Review on The Dirty Apron .
Beside the delicatessen is The Dirty Apron Cooking School, a joint venture between Karri & Nico Schuermans (the masterminds behind Chambar) and former Chambar Sous-Chef David Robertson. Whether you are looking to improve your cooking skills and explore new cuisines, something fun to do with your partner or friends, The Dirty Apron Cooking School offers a wide range of classes in a fun, relaxed environment. WINE Concha Y Toro 'Trio'
My feature wine is 'Trio' from the winery Concha Y Toro based in the Rapel Valley,Chile. Made from a blend of Merlot , Carmenere , and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Trio offers aromas of black berries, plums and cassis. It is supple, full-bodied and fresh. I have had the chance to enjoy it several times with a great steak frites at my former restaurant. It is also very good with wild mushroom risotto, spicy sauces and pork. A great value wine priced under $16. Check out the BC Liquor store product info and availability here
Here are theTop 50 wines at the 2011 Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival.
