2-hour class $45
UPCOMING DATES:

Wednesday, September 8 6:30-8:30 pm
- If you have struggled to achieve consistent and predictable scores and cuts - If you would like to learn more extensive glass cutting and understand the techniques required to create more complicated shapes in glass - If you would like to understand use of both the hand tools and the power tools and best application for each then the cutting lab is for you!
With the hand tools: (glass cutters or scorers, running pliers, grozing pliers, mosaic nippers, etc)
- efficient strip and square cutting - small circles - large circles - circle borders - gentle curves and curvy, skinny, strips - aggressive concave and convex curves - thick glass cutting
With the power tools: - Tile Saw Usage - (tile saw can be used to cut thick slabs for "glass on edge" pieces, pattern bars, combed pieces, bottle rings, etc) - Ring Saw Usage - (ring saw can be used to cut complicated shapes) - Drill Press/Hand Drill Usage - (to drill holes in pieces as small as jewelry or large as a sink basin drain) (Note: Sandblaster and Lap Grinder Tools are covered in our finishing lab)
At the end of this lab, you will feel much more comfortable with your cutting techniques and your ability to cut and shape the glass in the exact shape you require with a minimum of (glass-eating, expensive) mis-cuts.
See you at the STUDIO!
