If you're wondering how to indulge in holiday feasting and still stay healthy, don't miss
Healthy Holiday Eating (& Partying).

I will be taking time off between Christmas and New Years. So I won't be seeing anyone from December 24th until January 3rd.

I wish you the very best holiday. May you enjoy time with family and friends and find a little quiet in the mist of the festivities.
A healthy, happy holiday and all good things in the New Year!

       Gifts Galore!

It's that time of the year again. (As though you need me to remind you!) The stores are decorated and 106.9 is playing Christmas music nonstop until December 25th.
You're making your list and checking it twice. What to get for everyone on your list? Maybe I can help. I have gift certificates for all massages, all private workshops, all nutrition packages and the Baby Massage DVD. Best of all, they are all discounted for the holidays. Buying and saving at the same time. That should make your holiday a little less stressful. Here's the deal:

Take $10 off of any massage.

Take 10% off of any nutrition package.

Take $5 off of any workshop.

Take $5 off of the Baby DVD. ( If you order the DVD through Amazon, send me your receipt and I will send you a rebate of $5.)

Also check out this wonderful  new nutrition app.
NutriSleuth iPhone Mobile App.  Great for anyone on your list that wants an easy way to track their food. Take it to the supermarket. It's like taking your  nutritionist  with you.

No matter who's on your list, there's something perfect just  for them. And don't forget something for yourself.
How about a massage to unwind? If you need extra TLC get a hot stone massage for yourself.
                       Happy Shopping!

Healthy Holiday Eating - Is that Even Possible?!?

For many of us holidays and eating are synonymous. Most holidays, no matter what the tradition, are centered around food. Even on holidays where fasting is the tradition, there is feasting after the fast. What's a girl supposed to do?
I have a couple of suggestions.
  • First off - don't stress. Stress actually makes you gain weight.
  • You want to enjoy yourself so indulge but don't overindulge. You don't need to sample every dessert on the tray! Also, it's a good idea to exercise portion control.
  • And speaking of exercise; it curbs your appetite to move a little. A walk around the block is healthy.
  • And don't go to the party or to dinner hungry. If you think your resistance is low, eat before you go. A snack before hand curbs the munchies.
  • Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, especially if you're having a couple of cocktails.
  • If you're at an office party, or any party for that matter, balance the healthy apps (shrimp and crudities) with the really bad stuff (chips and dip).
I think you can have fun and still be healthy. And remember the secret to life is balance. A little food, a little fun, a little exercise and lots of laughter.
