Controlling our Mouths, plus RAK, Easter Fun Day, and Baptisms

We will be holding baptisms this Sunday morning, February 19. If you desire to be baptized but haven't yet talked with Pastor Frank, please come prepared with a change of clothes, and the pastor will talk with you on Sunday morning. Baptism is a way to publicly declare your commitment to Christ, plus it's the first step in becoming a member of Antelope Springs.

Also note that child dedications will be held on February 26 during both services. If you wish to dedicate your child to Christ please contact the church office.

Teen RAK

This Sunday, February 19, from 1 to 4 p.m., our middle and high school students are invited to join in Random Acts of Kindness. We'll be going to the Palms assisted-living facility in Roseville to spend some time with older folks who don't get too many visits and don't often get to talk with teenagers. We'll play games and visit with those who would love to see us. Sign up on Sunday morning or contact Pastor Isaac Parra.

Mug & Muffin This Saturday

Ladies, please join us this Saturday, February 18, at 10 a.m. for our Mug & Muffin event, taking place at the church. You will have a chance to meet and hear from our deaconesses and explore Bible scripture. There is no cost to attend, and child care is provided. Bring your favorite mug, a donation for the food pantry, and a friend -- and plan to have a joyful time. For more information, contact Marsha Hull.

Ordination Council

Join us on Sunday, February 26, at 2:30 p.m. at the church, showing support for Pastor Mike Easter as he meets with an ordination council explaining and defending his doctrinal statement.

100-day 2012 GROW Spiritually

Practicing Christian Habits

In our 100-day study to become who we were meant to be, we are working this week on developing habits that improve our connection with God. If you haven't yet tried this week's challenges to spend more time with God, memorize verses, and make all your decisions with His guidance, then consider Friday's challenge. Simply ask God to give you seven opportunities to testify about what God has done for you. Your testimony can be invaluable to someone who is going through a similar struggle.

If you have a testimony you'd like to share with us, e-mail the church office or use the linked sheet. Beginning this Sunday, we will spend the week controlling our mouths. If you don't have a copy of the 100-Day Challenge, you can access the week-by-week study online.

Outreach Updates

Easter and VBS

We are already making plans for our annual Easter Fun Day outreach, which will take place on Saturday, April 7. We reach hundreds of our neighbors on that day, as we share the news of Jesus as Savior through fellowship, crafts, face painting, a movie, and -- of course -- an egg hunt. Your help is needed to host this event, so please prayerfully consider where you might be able to serve. We'll have a volunteer signup sheet in the church lobby beginning this Sunday, February 19.

Also, get a preview of this summer's VBS (Vacation Bible School) program on February 26. Anyone interested in serving during VBS week, July 16 to 20, is encouraged to come to this quick gathering in Room 4 right after second service. It will only be about 45 minutes.
