REACH the World for Jesus
Worship Night
This Friday, January 27
You are invited to a special evening of worshiping God this Friday at 7 p.m. at Antelope Springs. Call a friend and make plans to come for music, teaching, and more. Hosted by Student Ministries, the evening's theme is "Dependence on God." We're also hoping to witness the joy of baptism for those ready to take that next step in their relationship with the Lord. If you have questions, please contact Pastor Isaac Parra.

CONNECT to God's Family
Men's Retreat
Register this Sunday
The 2012 men's retreat, "In His Presence," will take place at Donner Lake from Friday evening through midday Sunday, April 27-29. Plan now to be a part of this weekend with our brothers in Christ, worshiping our Lord as we draw closer in community. We will be staying in houses, and meals are included in the retreat package price of $140.
Young adults and high school juniors and seniors are also welcome; our special college student rate is $50, and a high schooler accompanied by a participating father or guardian is $25. Complete your registration and turn it in at the men's retreat table in the lobby. Scholarships and payment plans are available; don't let finances keep you from attending!
Truth Project at Lighthouse
Our young adults are starting a study of The Truth Project during Lighthouse; come on February 6 and join in. Produced by Focus on the Family, The Truth Project helps each of us examine our worldview and see the importance of living every day from a biblical perspective. Any young adults are welcome to attend at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays in the church's youth room. E-mail Todd Denhalter with any questions.
We're having game and movie night this Monday, January 30, so bring along your favorite board game. Learn more about Lighthouse activities by looking up "Lighthouse College Ministries" on Facebook.
Men to Start Truth Project
The men's Tuesday morning Bible study, which starts at 6:30 a.m. in Room 6, will also begin The Truth Project on February 7. Contact Dennis Gottier for more information.
We're on Facebook

GROW Spiritually
Surrender
This week's challenge in our 100-day study has been to prepare to submit ourselves to God's authority and care, and to consider what is important in our lives. Ultimately, everything we have or own is a gift from God. Whatever He has blessed us with is to be used to honor and glorify Him: our homes, our jobs, our relationships. Let's pray about giving control of the important and cherished things in our lives to the One who gives all things abundantly more than we can begin to imagine.
Here is a testimony from Sandra: "A key area of tension in my marriage has been tithing. I am the compulsive giver, and Chris is the logical keeper. I nagged, begged, and pleaded to no avail. Finally, I prayed that GOD would change his heart. Over time, we compromised, but neither of us was happy. I gave out of a need to obey instead of a desire to glorify and thank HIM; Chris gave out of a desire to please me.
"On our very first visit to Antelope Springs, the sermon was on tithing. Pastor Frank said, "We don't want your money, and God doesn't need your money! He wants your heart, not your wallet." It struck a fire in Chris. Though he was laid off in October, he wrote a check that day (a real tithe) and has been enthusiastically giving ever since."
If you have a testimony you'd like to share, we encourage you to e-mail the church office or use the linked sheet. Beginning this Sunday, the devotional theme of the week is praising God. If you don't have a copy of the 100-Day Challenge, you can access the week-by-week study online.

SERVE to His Glory
Treats for Hospitality
Every Sunday, we are treated to delicious food and drinks by our hospitality team. We can always use additional baked goods, fruits, juice, and other foodstuffs. If you are interested in helping occasionally, once a month, or more frequently, we encourage you to talk to Tiffani DeLange. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
