Is Surrender Even Possible?

"If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine.... If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it."

                                                                 -- Matthew 10:37-39 NLT

This week's message will be given by Pastor Isaac.

KidZone Meeting

All volunteers for the KidZone Children's Ministries are invited to our annual lunch meeting this Sunday, January 22. KidZone is a primary way that we reach and teach children about our Savior, through Sunday school, outreaches, and summer activities. The New Year is a perfect time for us to share information, reconnect as a team, and pray for God's guidance. We will meet in Room 6 directly after second service. Pasta and salad will be provided; you are welcome to bring a dessert to share. If you have questions, please contact Lovina.

On-Sight Shooting

January 28

Now is the time to start the New Year off with a bang! The next On-sight Shoot will be held on Saturday, January 28, at 8 a.m. The destination is Spenceville Shooting Range near Oroville. We need to arrive early, so meet at the church at 7 a.m. and plan to leave at 7:30 sharp. Don't be late -- this range fills up quickly! This is a free range, relying upon responsible shooters and shooting. Bring your pistols, rifles, shotguns ... and don't forget targets and a prop for them, such as a box. The event will be canceled if it is raining. For additional information or directions, contact Franklin DeLange.

100-day 2012GROW Spiritually

Seeing and Surrendering

In our 100-day study, our challenge this week has been to see ourselves through God's eyes. We're getting a chance to think about where we are in our walk with Christ. Let's give Him permission to work in those areas where we're not living out a holy life.

If you haven't done so already, consider taking a few minutes now to pray and let God reveal ways that He is working to change you little by little, day by day. And be encouraged that He is with us through every struggle.

Beginning this Sunday, we will spend the week surrendering to God. If you don't have a copy of the 100-Day Challenge that we are going through as a church, you can access the week-by-week study online.

Refrigerator Needed

Food is a big part of what we do at Antelope Springs, and our refrigerator is slowly but surely failing. As we consider replacing it, we want to find a large, new refrigerator with an ice-maker at a good price. If any of our church family is familiar with appliances and can help with obtaining a refrigerator, please talk to Gail Hibbs. If you feel called to support this effort through donations, please see Pastor Frank or note "church refrigerator" on your contribution and drop it in the offering. Your assistance will provide daily benefits for years to come.
