The PULSE this week:
Through the Eyes of God
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
-- Genesis 1:27; John 3:16; II Corinthians 5:17

REACH the World for Jesus
Baptisms This Sunday
This Sunday we will rejoice with those who will be baptized in the morning services. If you wish to be baptized and have not yet contacted Pastor Frank, please do so right away. He will have some questions for you regarding your following the Lord in baptism. You may also speak with him before the morning services.

GROW Spiritually
100-Day Study: Week 2
Our challenge for this week of study has been confession. If you haven't taken time yet to think about things in your life that are pulling you away from God, please take a few minutes now to pray that God will reveal areas where you are struggling. Confess to the Lord and make a commitment to communicate with Him throughout each day so that you can grow in your relationship with Him.
Beginning this Sunday, we will spend the next week looking within, seeing ourselves through God's eyes. If you don't have a copy of the 100-Day Challenge that we are going through as a church, you can access the week-by-week study online.
Mark Your Calendar
Worship Night, January 27
Call a friend and make plans to come to Worship Night. You won't want to miss this amazing opportunity to experience God on Friday, January 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. We'd love to see everyone from our church family -- whether young, old, or in-between -- come and spend the evening worshiping through music, teaching, and more. Hosted by Student Ministries, the night will be themed around "dependence on God." We're also hoping to witness the joy of baptisms for anyone ready to take that next step in their relationship with the Lord. If you have questions, please contact Pastor Isaac Parra.

SERVE to His Glory
Pizza Delivery!
Are you looking for a way to serve? Student Ministries could use your help. We are seeking one or two people willing to pick up and deliver pizza for us on Tuesday and Thursday nights. We would order the pizzas (3); you would deliver them to the church along with the receipt ($16.16), and we would pay you back. Food will need to be at the church by 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and 6 p.m. on Thursdays. If you are interested in helping, e-mail Jen Parra or call (510) 304-6329.
Food for the Hungry
Thank you for your faithfulness in donating to our food pantry, which serves many families in need. Some items are running low, and the pantry could use regular donations of the following:
- chicken or tuna prepared dinners and canned meat
- pancake mix and syrup
- peanut butter and jelly
- pasta and sauce
- rice and rice-a-roni
- canned green beans, carrots, and fruit
If you are able to help, please drop off supplies in the bin located in the church lobby.
