Invitations to Grow

100-Day Challenge

As we usher in the New Year this Sunday, there is no better time than NOW to invite friends and neighbors to church. We are embarking on a 100-day journey to let God have His way in our lives. Through this journey we can experience extraordinary spiritual growth, revealing the reality of God's love, power, and guidance.

Devotional booklets will be distributed this Sunday. We will begin by making personal commitments to become who we "were meant to be." Each week will set forth a new challenge, with daily reading and journaling to facilitate our growth. Expect to see changes in each of our lives and in our church.

Winter Camps for Teens

It's nearly time for our annual Winter Camps, where we have tons of fun and learn more about God. First up is the Wildside camp for grades 6-8 at Camp Chinquapin (Pinecrest, CA), taking place February 3-5. "Move" is our theme as we learn to take action for God. Enjoy snow play, tubing, messages, and amazing worship. The cost is $150 per person, and with only 20 spots available, you'll want to register soon. Reservations are first come, first served, and registration ends January 29. A $50 deposit secures your spot.

Refuge's camp for high schoolers, themed "Audacious," will be at a cabin in South Lake Tahoe, CA. The dates are February 24-26. There will be games, snow play, worship, teaching, music, and small groups. The cost is $100 per person, and only 16 spots remain. Registration ends February 19, but if you want to go, secure your spot early with a $50 deposit.

GROW Spiritually

This Sunday:

How to Study Your Bible

You are encouraged to come and learn about Bible study at 10:45 a.m. this Sunday (January 1) in Room 6. Don't miss this one-session class where we'll discuss why a systematic study is important and the types of tools that are at our disposal. We'll also go through study steps such as:

  • Praying for the Holy Spirit's guidance.
  • Determining context.
  • Identifying key words.
  • Recording what God is impressing in your heart.
