Christmas program 2011REACH the World for Jesus

Christmas Presentation Update

Sunday, Dec. 18, the children are excited to present "Baby Jesus We Love You." The service begins at 9:30 a.m., and children will be performing after the first song. Parents: Children in the program should meet in Room 2 no later than 9:15 a.m. All other children go to the service with parents. We suggest that you come early to get a good seat, as we expect a greater number of guests. All the children will be excused to their classrooms following their program for the remainder of the service.

Saturday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m. please join us for a Christmas Eve service as we sing and praise the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.

Sunday, Dec. 25 at 9:30 a.m.: This is a family service. Child care will be available for Nursery and Pre-K only. Older children will remain with parents during the service. Come and celebrate this special Christmas morning with us!

Caroling and Gifts

This Saturday, December 17, you are invited to share in the joy of delivering 60-plus Christmas food baskets to the families on our list. If you would like to serve the community in this way, meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. We will deliver baskets between 10 a.m. and noon. In conjunction with delivery of the baskets, we will also be caroling at Sabre City. You are encouraged to meet at the church at 9:30 and join Rebecca, Will, Kathie, and Cliff in sharing the Christmas message through the carols of old. "Here we go a-caroling..." And please bring along a box of candy canes to hand out.

Last weekend, a team of Student Ministries teens packed all the food baskets and then carefully prayed over each one to ask for blessings for the families who will receive them as well as for those who donated. Thanks to all for contributing to this outreach! E-mail if you have questions about Saturday.

Service Awards

For Ages 10 to 25

The young people at our church are passionate for the Lord and dedicated to serving him. Youths who regularly volunteer may qualify to receive a President's Volunteer Service Award. There are only a few short weeks left to record hours for the 2011 calendar year (50 hours or more for 10- to 14-year-olds or 75-plus hours for older youths). Tracking service projects can help identify the special gifts that God has given our young folks, plus it quantifies skills and experience for college applications and resumes.

Learn more about the program and track hours online at www.PresidentialServiceAwards.gov -- and let us know if you need help. Also, now is the time to sign up and prepare to track next year's activities.
