The PULSE this week:
Obedience in Radical Giving

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."                            -- Malachi 3:10

Collecting Names

Every year at Christmas, our church family provides food baskets to people who are hurting financially and might not be able to put a holiday meal on the table. If you know of someone in need who should receive a basket, please complete the linked form and drop it into the offering bag on Sunday or e-mail the family's information (name, # of people, address, phone, and prayer needs) to Becky Easter. Also, keep this ministry in your prayers and consider how you might be able to help as Christmas approaches. Let us open our hearts and share with one another as the early Christians did.

With a quick click, you can sign up to receive tweets from ASC_Roseville. It's a convenient, mobile way to be reminded of happenings such as the final date for bringing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes (this Sunday, the 13th!). Also, look forward to on-the-spot news and messages from the Bible to help in our daily lives.

Deeper Track

Sunday, Nov. 20

Student Ministries' Deeper Track is an opportunity for GROWTH. Teens, do you want to grow deeper in your relationship with God, learn more about Him, yourself, the church, and how to share your faith? Then Deeper Track is for you! This free seminar happens on Sunday, November 20, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. There are five different tracks for our young people to choose from. Sign up early since space is limited. An application and permission slip for Wildside or Refuge is available online. Each track has a curriculum and questions to be answered:

Track 1: A Solid Foundation - What is My Purpose?

Track 2: Connect Central - How do I connect with God?

Track 3: Growing Up - What is God like?

Track 4: Do Something - What are my spiritual gifts?

Track 5: Reach Out, Don't Freak Out - Why is it important to share the gospel?

Deeper Track is offered twice a year, so encourage any young people you know to sign up right away with their leaders and be a part of this enriching program.

Thanksgiving Outreach

The time is getting very close for our very first Thanksgiving Community Dinner! Please continue to pray daily for God's blessing and guidance as the details are being finalized for this special event. More volunteers and food donations are needed, and it will take many willing hands and hearts to make this a success. Please see the items below and prayerfully consider what you can do to contribute. Pray that this will reach the people in our community who will be blessed by the meal and the love shown to them.

More volunteers are needed in the following areas: seating guests or serving as hosts/hostesses and waiters. The waiters will be mostly middle and high school youth. Sign-ups will continue on Sunday the 13th.

Here are our greatest food needs as of 11/11:

  1. 12" pumpkin pies from Costco or Sam's
  2. Idahoan instant potatoes 5# bag (106 servings)
  3. Trio powdered brown gravy (80 servings)
  4. Stuffing Mix 5# bag (30-40 servings)

Please use this direct link to our page on Perfect Potluck or go to www.perfectpotluck.com and enter our coordinator's name (Sisler) and password (ASC) to check the updated listing of all needs. Food and supplies may be brought to the church Sunday through Thursday or Saturday the 19th by 10 a.m.

Volunteer schedules will be posted in the foyer and/or by church-wide e-mail (Sunday the 13th).

Turkeys

The first batch of turkeys has been distributed. We still have need of a few more volunteers to cook turkeys. Please make special arrangements with Lynn Sisler if you need to pick up turkeys before Sunday. The last distribution will be Sunday morning the 13th at church. Contact Lynn with any questions.
